A new fitness tracker by Xiaomi which is also named as Mi Band 2. As, we know that Xiaomi’s last year fitness tracker Mi Band have few compromises and people weren’t happy with that. But this time, Xiaomi attempt to fix those flaws by adding a display and a heart rate sensor inside Mi Band 2. The band will be available from 27th of September on Mi.com and will be available on Amazon from 30th of September.

If we are looking at the design of the Mi Band 2, then it looks like the previous Mi Band and has two components- a capsule and a band. The band is made of a rubber-like material which is very comfortable while wearing the band. The Xiaomi Mi Band 2’s capsule fits into the band properly and you don’t have to worry about the capsule that it might fall out. The capsule features with an OLED display, and with a big circular button underneath it that enables you to check the stats like the number of steps that you have taken, the distance you have covered, and the calories you have burned, etc.

The band gives you alerts for calls, app notifications, and can aslo be used for phone unlocking. The Mi Band 2 has introduced a digital heart rate monitor which is IP67 splash resistant just like the previous Mi Band, allowing it to be used while taking a shower, workout sessions and more. The battery will be working for 20 days on a single charge with moderate use.

Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is thickest at 10.5mm, and weighs in at 19gms. Xiaomi claims that the Mi Band 2 is 22 percent slimmer and 37 percent lighter than the other popular fitness trackers with heart rate monitor and time displays. Users can unlock their Android 5.0 (or later) smartphones instantly with Mi Band 2 when held close.

Mi Band 2 comes with a military-grade ADI sensor. The device includes a scratch-resistant UV coated display, power-efficient ADI accelerometer, an anodised 0.05mm ultra-thin button and Bluetooth 4.0. It connects via the Mi Fit app that is available for both iOS and Android. The app gives users the ability to see their activity and sleep statistics. It also allows users to get app alerts, manage alarms, and see reminders.
